This is me after a good meal or a run in the back yard. They say most greyhounds make good couch potatoes (even though my fosters won't let me up on the furniture), and I pretty much fill the bill. I love to sit and shake for dinner or a treat. I'm very affectionate and I'm getting so good at walking on my leash, although I do love so stop and sniff occasionally.

Fostering Carcacha
01/12/12, Carcacha came home with my husband and I last Sunday afternoon. We had been told at the kennel that she had been there since October 2011, so we assumed we had a lot of training to do. But, being a greyhound, she surprised us in many ways. She mastered going up and down stairs in a matter of two/three days. The first two nights, one of us slept downstairs close to her crate. After a few minutes each night, she stopped whining and slept until we got up. Since then, she has slept in our room in a small enclosure and she settles down almost immediately. She does have lots of energy and gets under foot easily, so I take her for walks frequently. She shows almost no interest in her kongs just yet, but does like the occasional milk bone. After just a few days here with us, we are amazed at how quickly she will lay down on her bed when we come into the room. She's a very sweet little girl.
